
The Holiday Season is upon us. As a marketer, this is my favorite time of year. This is when most businesses pull out all of the stops to try and get the attention of those willing to part with their hard earned and even harder to hold onto cash. Each day is filled with real life examples that I can use with my clients on how NOT to market your products or services.
Here I am standing beside my mentor, Bob Burg, at a recent event he was presenting at in Dallas, Texas. Bob is always talking about giving before you get. That's the foundation of great marketing (and great anything else for that matter). You really have to 'give' value before a potential customer allows you to 'get' their hard earned cash.
